Terms and conditions
Terms for applying and using this website
By creating an account or applying for funding, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. About us
This website is run by The Beyond Pain Foundation, a charity registered in England and Wales (charity number to be confirmed). In these terms, "we", "us" and "the foundation" mean The Beyond Pain Foundation, and "you" means the person using the website or applying for funding.
2. Your account
You must be 18 or over to create an account. You must give accurate information and keep your password private. You are responsible for anything done using your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
Someone you trust may help you complete your application, but the account and the answers must be yours.
3. Applying for funding
Funding rounds open on the 1st of each month and close at the end of the 14th, UK time, unless we announce different dates on this website. You may submit one application in each round.
You must answer every question honestly and completely, and the documents you upload must be genuine. Once you submit an application you cannot change it. If your circumstances change before we make a decision, you must tell us.
4. How decisions are made
Our trustees decide which applications to fund, and how much to award, using our published requirements, the information you give us and the funds available that month. Applying does not guarantee that you will receive funding. The trustees' decision is final and we are not obliged to give reasons, although we will try to where we can.
5. If you are awarded funding
Funding may only be used for the purpose we agree with you. We may pay the provider or supplier directly instead of paying you. We may ask for receipts or other evidence that the funding was used as agreed, and for feedback on how it has helped.
If funding is not used for the agreed purpose, or if we find that information in your application was untrue, we may ask you to repay it and we may refuse future applications.
6. False information
Giving false or misleading information to obtain funding may be fraud. We may report suspected fraud to the police and other relevant organisations.
7. Your information
We use your personal information to assess your application and run the charity, as explained in our privacy notice. This includes health and financial information, which we treat as highly confidential.
8. Treatment and equipment
We fund treatment, equipment and support, but we do not provide medical advice, and we are not responsible for the services or products supplied by third parties. You should always follow the advice of qualified health professionals.
9. Using this website
We try to keep this website accurate and available, but we cannot promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. Links to other websites are provided for information only, and we are not responsible for their content.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page applies from the date shown below.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
