To assess your application we need personal, health and financial information. This notice explains what we collect, why, and your rights.
Who we are
The Beyond Pain Foundation (charity number to be confirmed) is the data controller for the information you give us through this website. Contact: coming soon.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and password (stored in a scrambled form that we cannot read).
- Personal details: date of birth, address, phone number and contact preferences.
- Your application: information about your condition, what you need, your finances and how funding would help.
- Documents you upload, such as payslips, bank statements, medical letters and quotes.
Why we use it
We use your information to manage your account, assess your application, pay any funding awarded, keep proper records as a charity, and prevent fraud. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in running the charity and assessing applications fairly. For health information we rely on your explicit consent, which you give when you submit your application.
Who can see it
Your application and documents can be seen only by our trustees and anyone who helps us run the application process under a duty of confidentiality. Our website and data are hosted by Cloudflare. We do not sell your information or use it for marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep applications and documents for a limited period after a decision is made, and then delete them securely. The exact period will be confirmed here before launch.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, and withdraw your consent at any time. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
